The opportunity

We are looking for a talented Account Director to join the performance.io team. As an Account Director, you will be reporting to our Global Head of Client Services and supporting with senior strategic consultancy and client services for accounts within our existing pharmaceutical & healthcare portfolio. As a senior project lead, you will collaborate with the Accounts, SEO & Content teams to define and deliver strategic SEO programmes that exceed client expectations, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will also play an important role in business development, by driving organic growth within existing client accounts.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing direction and strategic guidance on multiple client accounts
  • Accountability for sign-off on all materials on the account, ensuring they are consistent and compliant with codes of practice and client SOPs
  • Evaluating activities and materials against the strategic objectives, providing guidance and supporting the team to continually improve
  • Demonstrating the skill and expertise required to consult at the highest levels of the client organisation
  • Having the expertise and confidence to challenge client thinking where necessary and provide strategic counsel, within and beyond the scope of existing programmes
  • Chairing or facilitating internal or external meetings or workshops
  • Managing junior accounts team members and overseeing their day to day work
  • Producing proposals and presentations for clients as part of new business mining
  • Proactively identifying organic growth opportunities within existing clients
  • Building relationships with key personnel within customer accounts
  • Manage budgets in line with strategy and agreed budget scope.

What experience do you need?

  • Ability to build lasting client relationships & experience in providing strategic consultancy to senior stakeholders (within the pharmaceutical & healthcare industry or digital marketing beneficial)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Extensive project management experience is essential
  • Experience with client services and account management (with a specific focus on clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry beneficial)
  • Experience leveraging network to identify new business opportunities, and delivering effective pitches aligned with client briefs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an acute attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage current large scale client projects
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, including use and creation of Excel files and other standard financial accounting software
  • Experience of executing campaigns within digital channels beneficial
  • Strong understanding of wider digital marketing channels and environment
  • Knowledge of online marketing tools and technology
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player

The Account Manager is the key day-to-day client contact and has responsibility for on-going project management ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

 

This role will also involve internal agency responsibilities, including supporting marketing activities for performance.io (which include contributing to the management of agency social media channels).

  • Ensuring all activity meets or exceeds clients’ performance expectations.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients.

  • Management of all assigned client projects to ensure that work is delivered to an exceptional standard, on budget and on time.
  • Overseeing development of monthly reports, creating agendas for client calls, and action summaries.
  • Quality control of work conducted by junior and more operational members of the team.
  • Supporting the team with pitch work to drive new business.
  • The Account Manager will be expected to expand their online performance marketing industry awareness, communication and project management skills to identify new opportunities, while proactively challenging and contributing to client handling activities and playing an increasing role in strategic input.
