We are looking for a talented Performance Analyst / SEO Analyst to join the performance.io team.

This role will involve you working closely with the General SEO and Performance team to analyse the website and user behaviours on a periodic basis and to identify gaps in the current website engagement and goals. Identifying the key pain points for a client and coordinating with the implementation team for the next steps would be the scope of this role.

What will you be doing?

  • Conducting behavioural audits and analysis on digital accounts regularly.
  • Analysing Website/SEO Performance/ Campaign/Ads engagement and user flow.
  • Auditing, implementing or tracking goal conversion structure in a site and following up with modifications that need to be made on the same.
  • Coordinating with the SEO lead/ Account Lead to drive the SEO Programme successfully
  • Monitoring website traffic and SERP behaviours and developing strategies around getting the maximum relevant traffic to the site.
  • Evaluating KPIs and growth plans for the clients based on their requirements.
  • Conducting robust market research, landscape analysis and competitor gap analysis.

What experience do you need?

  • Must have an attitude to hustle and a keen eye for detail.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in marketing or relevant field.
  • Proven 3+ years of experience as an SEO Analyst, Performance analyst or Team Lead in an SEO process.
  • Must have advanced experience with Google Analytics and advanced use of Google tag Manager to track and set up performance KPIs.
  • Professional certification in Advanced Content and Social Tactics, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a plus.
  • HTML and JavaScript experience to understand SEO is an added advantage.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in using industry tools is a must (such as SEMRush, MOZ, AWR, AHREFs etc.).
  • Experience handling and reporting through Google Data Studio, Google Analytics and Search console.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to follow specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate Head of SEO to join the performance.io team. As Head of SEO, you’ll work closely with our Global Head of SEO to ensure all our accounts have strategic direction when it comes to SEO disciplines and help set SEO objectives for our clients. You’ll be a self-starter, willing to get stuck in and show initiative on ways we can grow our team.

 

You’ll have previous experience managing and growing a team as building out your SEO team to service our clients will be a key part of this role.

What will you be doing?

  • You will report into the Global Head of SEO and ensure that all clients have clear SEO objectives in place.
  • You’ll work very closely with our U.S new business lead in supporting on pitches and proposals to help grow the U.S business.
  • Inform and help educate the wider business on updates within the SEO industry, particularly around medical SEO and E-E-A-T.
  • Senior stakeholder management with our accounts team ensuring across high-profile accounts our strategy and SEO performance is communicated clearly.
  • You will build out and manage a team directly, comprising of SEO and performance specialists.
  • Work closely with our India function to ensure we drive margin and improve efficiency through our processes.
  • Attend client touchpoints to show senior SEO sponsorship.

What experience do you need?

  • Ideally, international SEO experience is preferred and would be advantageous given our global client portfolio.
  • Demonstrate an interest and dedication to SEO out of your day to day role, i.e have your own blog or attend webinars/conferences around digital (We don’t want people who just read Moz).
  • Think different, we have no problem with being maverick, at times it’s ok to act now, apologise later, if intentions are good.
  • Work hard, play hard. The energy you will bring to the team is important. To play, is to do things voluntarily, without predefined outcomes and to step outside of your comfort zone. This we encourage.

Skill requirements:

  • 7+ years of SEO experience (preferably agency).
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • A solid understanding of how SEO works within a marketing mix particularly with PPC/paid.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving SEO results on a large account in a previous role.
  • You’ll be comfortable and have experience in developing SEO budgets and proposals with support from our accounts and BD team.
  • You’ll have experience in senior stakeholder management and be comfortable in attending high profile calls to demonstrate the value of SEO.
  • We’re looking for a rounder, but you will have decent SEO technical experience in carrying out recommendations around page speed, AMP, schema mark-up.

As an SEO manager, you’ll be at ease in putting together presentations and recommendations and presenting back to clients whilst communicating technical recommendations eloquently. As we are a growing agency you’ll have plenty of opportunities to put forward recommendations on SEO products and toolsets along with our SEO team. You’ll have a desire to find and tell your own story and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

 

In this role, you’ll be working closely with our accounts, content and technical function to ensure that all SEO recommendations are joined up to ensure we are delivering a holistic approach. You’ll be an all-round SEO with strong technical and content experience and ideally have worked in a digital agency in a similar role.

  • Contribute to pitches in pulling insights and putting together recommendations.
  • Work closely with our India function but also be hands-on in the creation of task deliverables, e.g internal linking audits, page speed recommendations, backlink analysis.
  • Take ownership over our keyword tracking tool and ensure that keyword tracking is set-up efficiently across all accounts.
  • Inform and help educate the wider business on updates within the SEO industry, particularly around medical SEO and E-A-T.
  • Attend regular client touchpoints to walk through recommendations and performance slides.

What experience do you need?

  • Ideally, international SEO experience is preferred and would be advantageous given our global client portfolio.
  • To be successful, you will have an interest in working across medical and pharmaceutical sites and learning all about medical SEO.
  • Demonstrate an interest and dedication to SEO out of your day to day role, i.e have your own blog or attend webinars/conferences around digital.
