As an Account Manager, you will be working closely with the client services team to manage a portfolio of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer clients. The Account Manager is the key day-to-day client contact and has responsibility for on-going project management ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

 

This role will also involve internal agency responsibilities, including supporting marketing activities for performance.io (which include contributing to the management of agency social media channels).

What will you be doing?

  • Working closely with the Business Development Lead to ensure all accounts are serviced to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring all activity meets or exceeds clients’ performance expectations.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Manage budgets in line with strategy and agreed budget scope.
  • Management of all assigned client projects to ensure that work is delivered to an exceptional standard, on budget and on time.
  • Overseeing development of monthly reports, creating agendas for client calls, and action summaries.
  • Quality control of work conducted by junior and more operational members of the team.
  • Supporting the team with pitch work to drive new business.
  • The Account Manager will be expected to expand their online performance marketing industry awareness, communication and project management skills to identify new opportunities, while proactively challenging and contributing to client handling activities and playing an increasing role in strategic input.
  • Occasional travel for client meetings.

What experience do you need?

  • Ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Project Management experience is essential.
  • Experience with client services and account management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, including use and creation of Excel formulae.

  • Collaborate with SEO Managers to develop strategic recommendations and presentations for performance.io clients.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on SEO products and toolsets to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with accounts, content, and technical teams to develop and execute strategic SEO initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to optimize content for maximum organic visibility and engagement.
  • Implement advanced link-building strategies to enhance website authority and domain relevance.
  • Perform technical SEO audits and optimize site structure for improved search engine crawlability and indexing.
  • Utilize industry-standard SEO tools and platforms, including SEMRush, Moz, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.

What experience do you need?

  • 4-5 years of experience in developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies.
  • Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth and improving SERP rankings.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets and identifying actionable insights.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an inquisitive and proactive SEO Executive with at least 1-2 years experience to join the performance.io team. As an SEO Executive, you’ll work closely with the SEO and Accounts team to ensure all our accounts have strategic direction when it comes to SEO disciplines and help set SEO objectives for our clients. You’ll be a self-starter, willing to get stuck in and show initiative on ways we can grow our business.

As an SEO Executive, you’ll be supporting SEO Managers to put together presentations and strategic recommendations across performance.io clients. As we are a growing agency you’ll have plenty of opportunities to put forward recommendations on SEO products and toolsets along with our SEO team. You’ll have a desire to find and tell your own story and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

In this role, you’ll be working closely with our accounts, content and technical function on the development of strategic SEO recommendations. You’ll be an all-round SEO with technical and content experience, and ideally have worked in a digital agency in a similar role.

  • Work closely with our Global SEO team and India offshore to support the creation of task deliverables, e.g internal linking audits, page speed recommendations, backlink analysis
  • Inform and help educate the wider business on updates within the SEO industry, particularly around medical SEO and E-E-A-T
  • Support preparation for regular client touchpoints

What experience do you need?

  • Early experience working across core SEO disciplines in an agency or in-house environment
  • To be successful, you will have an interest in working across medical and pharmaceutical sites and learning all about medical SEO
  • Demonstrate an interest and dedication to SEO out of your day to day role, i.e have your own blog or attend webinars/conferences around digital
